March Netlabel Releases

Two more netlabel releases have now been added to the site under the Releases menu. We're almost at the point where we need to subcategorize things... maybe next month. This time we have:

[ffm005] Millipede - φ
The first new Velvet Empire release in 9 years is a side project of Don Hill's porteur de l'Image. Millipede is edgier and noisier than pdlI; think along the lines of Parca Pace, I guess. Very cool stuff.

[ffm006] Cult of Jester - Funkatron
This one got us into all kinds of trouble when it was first released a decade ago. A little too nasty-sounding musically and a few too many bad words lyrically. All the same, it proved very popular among the FFM community.

Up Next...

We have a bit of a bottleneck in getting things onto the site right now. There's lots ready to go, it's just a matter of putting it all together and posting them. They include EPs from EnGrave and The Eternal Chapter, archived material from globalwaveysystem and Soulchasm and a new stuff that we're just working out. Keep watching the site for new stuff.

February Netlabel Releases

The next couple netlabel releases are now on the site under the Releases menu. They are:

[ffm003] EnGrave - Polaris
Appropriately, the first release under the Velvet Empire sublabel. Classic ambient.

[ffm004] The Eternal Chapter - The Eternal Chapter
One of the best goth releases we've ever heard. This went out of print and became very difficult to find. Now it's here for all to enjoy.

Also Coming Soon...

We have two more Velvet Empire releases due out soon: Millipede (which we've heard bits of and it's very cool!) and an EP of EnGrave tracks that were not released on the Polaris CD. We also have an EP of a similar type of material from The Eternal Chapter that's almost done. Finally, we'll get at least one Cult of Jester reissue posted in the coming weeks.

Thanks to all who have been donating so far. It's nice to know that the music is appreciated and that you feel it's worth something. We're still not entirely sure where the money will go yet, but we'll start dispersing it to charities and maybe plan some advertising soon. No matter what, we'll let you know where every dollar is spent.
