30N 3NN1X 62 posts --- Location: n.a.	05.07.2011 07:06 everything related to Jon Sonnenberg i had made a thread for this on the previous flish board, but i am not seeing it here, so i decided to start it over again. as some of you might recall from the previous thread, Jon has been working on releasing 3 discs for quite some time now. a 7" containing the songs "A-side" (aside) and "B-side" (beside). "As far as listening to the video game music that I have done, I plan on releasing some of the music for MP3 download sometime soon - probably this winter. I have shared a few songs on this forum in the past, but not very many of them, considering I have nearly 100 short songs. I am even considering releasing a track per week, and spacing the release out for a year or so." pretty neat stuff, especially if you are a fan of his body of work from any point over the years. more updates to come, as time progresses and news becomes available. 30N 0U7!
slaveofone 22 posts --- Location: n.a.	24.10.2011 16:38 Re: everything related to Jon Sonnenberg Well, I've listened to a few Pivot Clowj songs in the past, but I finally got around to listening to mp3s of the album "It's Not As If [etc]" and I'm bummed I didn't pick the CD up when I had a chance (oh to have lossless quality!). It's really good stuff. There's one song on there "Me Minus You" that I swear could be some long-lost Coil material. That, in case you didn't guess, is a magnificent compliment. When I was younger, I guess I couldn't appreciate this type of experimental artistry. I needed something more along the lines of Blackout :)
30N 3NN1X 62 posts --- Location: n.a.	29.10.2011 09:32 Re: everything related to Jon Sonnenberg i too would Agree, that at times some of Jon's body of work has reminded me of coil. and "me minus you" in particular, is a very good example of Jon at his experimental best. another that you might like, in that vein, is a song titled "commands" off of his collaboration with Israel Slick on the cd called "The Prometheus Project". as for obtaining a cd of "it's not as if . . ." don't give up Hope just yet. once Jon has opened up the official homepage again (artoftravelogue.com), you may very well be able to purchase the disc straight from the man himself. ;) he should be doing so pretty soon, since the next full length travelogue is very near completion. you'll also be able to purchase t-shirts and other cd's throughout his catalog as far as i am aware. p.s. i'll ask Jon about the pivot clowj cd's availability however, and message you what i find out.
